Exfoliating is SO important! Please use a loofah or scrub gloves to fully exfoliate, 48 hours prior to your appointment. On the day of your appointment, please shower 8 or MORE hours prior, so your skin has time to cool down. Wear (or bring) loose fitting, dark clothing so you can wear it afterwards.
You can be sprayed completely naked if that’s cool with you. Our technicians are trained professionals. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, you can wear a dark colored bathing suit or disposable underwear, that our salon can provide. Please note that if you DO choose to wear a bathing suit, that solution can stain, which we cannot be responsible for. We also have disposable shower caps if you’d like to cover your hair.
The only difference between solutions is your shower time. Express Solution tends to be more convenient if you have an event or occasion that SAME day, as you only need to keep it on for 2-3 hours. Our Standard Solution must be kept on for a minimum of 8 hours, maximum 12. After 12 hours it can start to dry out your skin.
Appointments only take 20-30 minutes. The process is quick and easy! Your technician will give you time to privately undress/re-dress and the actual spraying only takes 15 minutes.
This depends on the type of spray tan you do. Express should only be kept on for 2-3 hours. Our Standard must be kept on for a minimum of 8 hours, maximum 12. After 12 hours it can start to dry out your skin.
With a normal shower schedule (once a day) your tan can last up to 5 days. Staying hydrated and moisturized will help extend your tan! Please know that full submersion into water, like bathing or swimming pools/hot tubs can cause your spray tan to be completely removed. Multiple work-outs per day or excessive sweating, can cause your tan to fade faster as well.
All of our solutions are 100% organic. The length of time you leave your tan on for, will depend on how dark the color turns out. No matter what, we fully commit to a NON-“orange” look. Our solutions are are very natural looking no matter how fair your skin color is. We don’t believe in the Oompa-Loompa look.
Although you may appear to be bronzed and protected, your spray tan will NOT protect you from the sun. You are just as susceptible to burning as you normally would. Please continue to wear sunscreen when laying out in direct sunlight.
We request that our clients ask their physician for approval first.
Your hands and face fade faster due to usage. You are constantly washing both your hands and face which means of course, exposure to more water than the other parts of your body.
As your skin goes through its natural exfoliating process , the dead skin cells begin to shed. Some cells shed at a faster rate, causing the bronzed effect to shed as well. However, you can prevent this to the best of your ability by moisturizing daily. This has nothing to do with solution we use or how your technician sprayed you.
No. We do not have tanning beds and truly don't believe in them. Please read my write up here "Why No Tanning Beds"
